Ingredients
• 1 tablespoon of olive oil
• 1 sliced carrot
• 1 sliced celery
• 1 thin slice onion, sliced
• 1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic (optional)
• 4 8ounce cans of tomato sauce
• 1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth
• freshly ground black pepper to taste
• 1 tablespoon dried parsley
• 1/2 tablespoon dried basil leaves
• 1 (15 ounce) can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
• 1 1/2 cups ditalini pasta
Cooking Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Sauté carrot, celery and onion until they are soft. Add garlic and sauté briefly. Stir in tomato sauce, chicken broth, pepper, parsley and basil; let it simmer for 20 minutes.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ditalini pasta (or any form of small pasta) and cook for 8 minutes. Add beans to the sauce and simmer for a few minutes. When pasta is done, stir into sauce and bean mixture.

My Responce:
The recipe comes from Italy, my grandmother originally showed my mom how to make this recipe and now she makes it for me and my brother. It was pretty simple to prepare the recipe, it involved doing basic things like chopping vegetables, cooking them in a pan and then later boiling pasta and adding it all together so its things I’ve done before. I shared this recipe with my mom and my boyfriend; they said that it was very good. I felt very good about preparing super for once; it felt good to be the one cooking for my mom, because she usually cooks for me. I was very proud of myself when it turned out to be good. I think in a way this encouraged me and showed me that cooking is not that bad or difficult and some night that I can prepare dinner for my family. Its healthy because there are plenty of beans in it witch provides protein, also the sauce is made with tomatoes and there are many different vegetables in it. If you would like to make it extra healthy you could use whole grain pasta instead of the normal white one. The ingredients can all be found in grocery stores, or markets, or in some cases in your own garden.
