Earth Day

Earth day was extremely interesting. We met various amount of people who were in shock with the type of food people consume daily. I could honestly say that people have a hard time understanding that health is an important issue. That day was beautiful because in a way, the people that participated bonded with one another. It’s a plus, because we are trying to make a difference in our society with the way that we eat. The way animals are being treated in farms. The amount of people and children that are becoming obese is incredible. In a way, all these factors contribute to global warming. We want to make a change for our planet for the better. We want a healthier life style and we want to feel safe on our planet. We want to be healthy, we want to look good, we want to prevent our planet from becoming intoxicated and most importantly we want to live long.
Cheers to our planet!

Earth Day

Earth Day was really interesting. I'm glad I was a part of this event and it was an experience I won't forget. My team; Nayiri, Sofia and I informed the students in Vanier College about the lack of clean water and food in underdeveloped countries. We explained how us Canadians are privileged to have clean water and can afford to have food. And we shouldn't be wasting any because countries like in India, many people are dying from water and food shortage. These problems and pictures we showed really shocked the students. I believe they learned something new and they should take this information in consideration. Other then informing the students, I was informed as well by participating by my curiosity what the other students had to enlighten me about.
